A. One day Steve and I were sitting around our day jobs talking about Steve's newest chihuahua, Fudge. Steve had printed out a huge, gaudy poster of Fudge's little bat head and taped it between our cubicles. I thought Fudge was one of the ugliest creatures I'd ever seen, so I asked our co-worked Ashley what she thought. Much to Steve's dismay, she gave Fudge a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10, and ADORE-or-IGNORE was born.

A. How it works: If you have a animal that you'd like to make available for adoption using this site, simply check the "Yes" option for this question. Interested users can then see that the animal is "Up for Adoption," and may send you a private message requesting more information. Our Involvement: ADORE-or-IGNORE simply provides the forum for getting things moving: it is up to the interested parties to arrange the adoption. ADORE-or-IGNORE does not provide any special handling or mediation services regarding adoptions. Cost: "Up for Adoption" is completely free. Terms of Use: ADORE-or-IGNORE accepts no liability for any disputes, claims, or other suits arising from third-party adoptions.

A. All images are reviewed before they go "live" on the site. Occasionally (usually by accident, but sometimes because they think it will help their pets' ratings), users upload duplicate images. This will not help a pet's rating in any way, so to optimize storage space, any duplicate images are deleted.

A. Currently we have users in the United States, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden. Internationalization is on the table; we're just not sure when. Target languages include Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.
